Our Customization Process

Phase 1: Inquiry & Conceptualization

1. Initial Contact: You reach out to Yaffil via email dora@yaffil.net.cn or danny@yaffil.net.cn.

2. Sharing Your Vision: You provide the initial details of your project. The more information you can give, the better. This typically includes:
· Idea/Inspiration: Sketches, photos, mood boards, or even just a detailed description.
· Intended Use: Is this for a brand, a special event, a promotional item, etc.?
· Desired Material: While they specialize in stainless steel, you can specify the type (e.g., 316L, black PVD coated, gold plated, rose gold plated).

Quotation & Proposal

Phase 2: Quotation & Proposal

1. Feasibility Assessment: Yaffil's design and engineering team will review your concept to assess its manufacturability in stainless steel. They might suggest adjustments for durability, cost, or aesthetic reasons.

2. Detailed Quotation: You will receive a formal quotation that includes:
· Cost Breakdown: Unit price, mold/tooling costs (one-time fee), and total project cost.
· Production Timeline: An estimated schedule for each phase.
· Specification Summary: A recap of the agreed-upon design, materials, and finishes.

3. Agreement & Deposit: Once you approve the quote, you'll sign a service agreement and pay an upfront deposit (commonly 50%) to initiate the project. This deposit usually covers the cost of creating the technical drawings and the mold.

Phase 3: Design & Engineering

1. Creation of Technical Drawings: This is a critical step. Yaffil's engineers will create precise 2D/3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) drawings of your jewelry.

2. Your Approval of Drawings: You will receive these technical drawings for your review and final approval. This is your last chance to make precise changes to dimensions, thickness, and structural details before the mold is made. Once approved, any future changes may incur additional fees.

Design & Engineering
Prototyping (Optional but Recommended)

Phase 4: Prototyping (Optional but Recommended)

1. 3D Printing a Sample: For complex designs, Yaffil may create a physical prototype (often using a 3D printer in resin or wax). This allows you to see and feel the size, shape, and proportions of the piece.

2. Prototype Review: You evaluate the prototype and provide feedback. Minor adjustments can be made at this stage before the final, expensive steel mold is crafted.

Phase 5: Mold Making & Production

1. Crafting the Master Mold: Based on the approved technical drawings, a master mold (or die) is precision-machined from steel. This is a specialized and costly process.
2. Mass Production: Once the mold is ready and tested, the mass production begins. For stainless steel jewelry, this typically involves:
· Casting or Stamping: Depending on the design complexity, pieces are either cast from molten steel or stamped out of steel sheets.
· Polishing & Tumbling: Rough pieces are polished to a high shine or tumbled for a matte finish.

Mold Making & Production

· Assembly: If the piece has multiple components (e.g., a chain and a pendant), they are assembled.
· Plating/Coating (if applicable): Pieces are plated with gold, rose gold, black PVD, or other finishes.
· Setting Stones (if applicable): Any cubic zirconia or other gemstones are securely set.

Quality Control

Phase 6: Quality Control & Final Approval

1. Rigorous Inspection: Every piece is inspected for defects in the metal, plating, finish, and stone setting.
2. Pre-Shipment Samples: Yaffil will often send you photos or a small sample of the final production batch for your final confirmation before bulk shipping.
3. Final Payment: Upon your final approval, you will be invoiced for the remaining balance.

Phase 7: Packaging & Shipping

1. Custom Packaging: Your jewelry will be packaged according to your specifications—this could be in poly bags, individual gift boxes, velour pouches, or custom-branded packaging.
2. Shipping: Yaffil will arrange shipping, providing you with a tracking number. They can typically ship worldwide via sea or air freight.
